The Generac GP18000EFI is an 18000 Watt Generator with COSense Technology that automatically shuts down in the presence of Carbon Monoxide. It features an 816cc Electronically Fuel Injected (EFI) and TruePower Technology for less than 5% Total Harmonic Distortion. Clean, safe power for sensitive electronics, large appliances, power tools, and construction equipment. An hour meter helps track maintenance periods.
This Generator is compatible with HomeLink Manual Transfer Switch Kits HomeLink 50-Amp and HomeLink 30-Amp (sold separately.)

COSENSE Carbon Monoxide Detection and Shutdown
The GO18000EFI generator is for outdoor use only, positioned away from homes and other buildings, with the exhaust pointed away from any persons or buildings.
Carbon Monoxide (CO) is an odorless, invisible gas produced by internal combustion engines and any device that burns a fuel to produce heat or energy. This generator is equipped with a carbon monoxide sensor that shuts the generator down when it detects rising CO levels above a preset threshold. The COSense shutdown feature adds an extra measure of safety to prevent carbon monoxide poisoning caused by misuse.
Generac states that the 8917 GP18000EFI generator may NOT run indoors. Know your generator—read the owner manual.
Generac 18000 Watt Generator
The Generac 18000 Watt Generator has enough power to run most mid-size to large homes. The 14.2-gallon steel tank with built-in gauge provides a run time of up to 9 hours at 50% rated load. Electric Start with the included battery makes it simple to run. Placement is easy with the locking folding handles and 12-inch never flat wheels. The control panel provides a bevy of receptacle options.

Generac’s 18kW Portable Generator 816cc EFI engine provides the right amount of power for the best performance and efficiency. Generac rates the generator at 18000 watts and 22500 starting watts. The engine features fully pressurized lubrication and automatic low oil shutdown to prevent engine damage. The GP18000EFI has Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR).
